A little over a month ago, we visited Giovanni's in Albertville, AL and had a great meal. Details from that late lunch can be found HERE. I promised then that we would be back to try more of their menu selections. Today we decided that we would enjoy PIZZA!
Before I tell you about the pizzas we ordered, allow me to let you in on a secret! First, their dough is homemade fresh every day. Second, buy one delicious pizza and get another one free! (Of lesser or equal value, of course.) This offer is good any time, eat in or take out. You can't beat that deal!
The pizzas come in three sizes: 10-inch, 12-inch, 14-inch. We ordered the 10-inch size.
The House Special is topped with: beef, sausage, pepperoni, ham, onions, mushrooms, green peppers.
The Meat Lovers is topped with: ham, beef, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon.
Both pizzas were delicious with generous toppings. The dough had just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce was flavorful and there was the perfect amount of cheese.
We requested a bowl of marinara to dip the crust. Served warm, it was sooooo good. Make sure you request some, too.
Teresa was our server today and she was a delight. She was friendly, gave us ample time to make up our minds on which pizzas we'd order, and took care of us. Bless her, she thought we'd need a to-go box. She didn't believe we'd eat both pizzas. We had the fleeting thought that we would bring one home to eat tomorrow. HA! We inhaled these two delicious pies.
Another wonderful dining experience. And, yes, we'll be back to try even more of their extensive menu.
