 You are kids not drinking milk then prepare chocolate milk shake by adding fruit likes banana, sapota, mango, strawberry and using soaked dry fruits. Also we can use this chocolate syrup to drizzle our Bourbon biscuit cake, Rava chocolate cake , cupcakes. We can prepare hot chocolate, Stuffed chocolate pongalu / paniyarram / appeChocolate dry fruit lassi.                           Chocolate Syrup 

Preparation time  - 10 minutes
Serves : 200 ml 
Category : Beverages
Recipe Cuisine: Indian 
Main ingredients : cocoa powder

Ingredients 

cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
powdered sugar - 3/4 cup(adjust)
salt - 1/8 tsp or a pinch
vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp




Instructions

1) Sieve cocoa powder in a sauce pan .

2) Now sieve powdered sugar in the above bowl.

3) Mix cocoa powder and powdered sugar very well by adding salt in it. 

4) Add 3/4 cup of water mix everything well, make sure that the mixture is lumps free.

5) Now boil this on low to medium flames till it becomes thick and by continuously mixing the syrup. You will observe syrup consistency becoming thick on bottom of sauce pan. 

6) Now switch off the flames and add vanilla essence and mix everything well.

7) Let the syrup cool to room temperature. 

8) Later  store it in dry and air tight container.


Tips

** Add powdered sugar according to your taste.

** Do not add more water in cocoa powder & sugar mixture, as it takes lots of time to cook.

** Do not add cocoa powder in hot water as it will forms lumps.

** Store chocolate syrup when it is cool and in air tight container, also keep this is in fridge to increase its shell life.
